Reign of Terror: Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

The world of lion’s is a tough one. The constant threat to safety, maintaining territory, securing mates and finding food is all in a days work for the so called “King of the Jungle”. After decades of study, the behaviors of Panthera leo have fallen into norms - what can be expected from this fearsome predator. But sometimes, individuals, or groups of individuals, defy what humans deem as normal and surprise us all. This is the story of the Mapogo Coalition, and their six year reign of terror within Sabi Sand Game Reserve.
